Seville

The Real Alcazar. This the last building to show you from Seville. It is an Islamic Palace, my pictures don't do it justice on how beautiful the molds, colors, and decorations are.

Many courtyards with in the Alcazar. The Islamic belief are on privacy between men and women and any visitors that came into this home. You can tell by the coverings on the windows the people could see out, but others couldn't see in.

The geometric shapes and symmetric ideals are prevalent through out the palace. They weren't afraid to mixture colors, shapes, and design together. You can notice in this picture that the tiles are different on either side of the door.

Another courtyard. I really enjoyed the duck in the water. I also learned later at the Alhambra in Granada, Spain that the garden was well below the walking path due to the ability to see people coming and the garden was below or equal to the walking paths.

Another look at all the carving.

Iron door then into the gardens on the left. It smelled good.

The molds were painted at one point. In other Islamic mosques and palaces the paint has all but disintegrated. Only a few spots remain. This was one area I like the color and could imagine what it looked like surround the courtyard and palace.

Yep I touched it, hopefully didn't ruin anything. It felt smooth. It was just beautiful to me.

Seville is done on to Granada.

Dare I say your photos get increasingly more beautiful with each passing post? I love it!

Also, how far South is Seville? For some reason it reminds me a lot of what I've seen of Morocco?

It is pretty much south, about 100 miles or so to Gibraltar. In Madrid there was anything special, but the Egyptian temple and as I toured around other cities and moved toward Barcelona I found more to take photos of.
